build9 (“we,” “us”) is a small AI consultancy based in Ottawa, Ontario. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). This page explains what we collect and why.
Information we collect
- Contact form: your name, email, and optionally company, phone number, and message.
- Newsletter signup: your email address.
- AI Readiness Assessment: your name, email, optional company, and your answers to the questionnaire.
- Analytics: anonymous usage data (pages visited, approximate location, device type) via Google Analytics.
How we use it
We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, send you the insights you subscribed to, and share your assessment results. Form submissions are delivered to us by email through our email provider, Resend. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Consent and unsubscribing (CASL)
We only send marketing email to people who ask for it. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by emailing us. Transactional replies to your own enquiries are not marketing.
Retention
We keep the information you submit only as long as needed to serve your request or maintain our business records, then delete it.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. Email us and we'll take care of it.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of service providers to run this site, including Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), and Google Analytics (usage measurement). Each processes data under its own privacy terms.
